Cave Almási
Sometime around the middle
of the
XIXth. century John Paget in
his
remarkable traveling book,
wrote a funny
superstition about the Almási cave.
As we can read in John
Paget's
superstition, the villagers claim
that there
are two naked fairies that are
locked inside
the cave. So as, when a tough
wind blows
down in the valley where the
village is, you
can hear the naked fairies
wailing. These
two fairies are sending a lot of
sickness to
the villagers, and those are
trying to protect
themselves by hanging cloths at
the enter
of the cave so that the fairies can
find them,
get clothed up, and as being
thankful to the
villagers they won't hurt them
anymore.
