          Báthory Endre

                   (1566 - 1599)

  He was raised in the Poland yard of 

Báthory István, and as young he 

succeeded very fast in the ecclesiastical 

carrier: became bishop in 1583, then 

soon cardinal. In 1599 he becomes 

count of Transylvania, after his relative 

Báthory, Zsigmond 

resigns on his favor.
