his ruling. In 1657 he starts a war campaign 

against Poland, but after the first victories 

most of the Transylvanian army, together 

with commander Kemény János were 

captured by the Tartars. And the will be 

released only for a enormous ransom; and 

the country gets hit by poverty until they pay 

the ransom fee. Rákoczi will be deprived

from his throne, by the Turks, because they 

never allowed the war campaign against 

Poland. The country gets robed and 

destroyed by the Tartars and Turks. The 

Turks, at first will put Rhédei, then Barcsay 

Ákos, in Rákoczi's place, who of all this 

returns to the throne twice, but after all he'll 

be wounded deadly, and at the time of the 

Turks punishing war campaign even Várad

 gets under the pagans control. At that time 

a very important Transylvanian force, the 

border castle gets into Turk hands.
